Apertura del nuevo campus escolar / Opening of new school campus

“Change is inevitable. Transformation is a choice.” “El cambio es inevitable. La transformación es una elección”.

Principal Veronica Sharp led students, families, and neighbors from Georgian Acres and Highland neighborhoods  in celebration of TA Brown Elementary and Webb Primary coming together at a new campus.

Webb Primary was housed in portables on the Webb MS campus for seven years. TA Brown has been in portables at Barrington for two years, while the old unsafe building was demolished and the new one planned and constructed. For most of the 500 students at the opening celebration, this was the first time they had attended school in a school building.

And what a building it is! The design features walls of windows for natural light and connection to the outdoors, flexible classrooms and collaboration spaces, and LEED silver energy efficiency.
