The North Lamar/Georgian Acres neighborhood team can develop a sponsorship to meet your interest and your desire for recognition or anonymity – landscaping a neighborhood entrance, multilingual child safety outreach materials, classes on health topics, youth sports teams, … Let the Chair know if you have an idea, and we’ll figure out how to make it work.
There are also several sponsorship opportunities through other organizations. Each of these programs offers recognition such as a sign with your business or organization name.
- Grant School Wishes (Austin Partners in Education). Support our AISD schools’ programs through APIE, or contact our charter schools directly.
- Adopt-a-Park (Austin Parks Foundation). There are three city parks in our neighborhoods, Barrington Park with its brand new trees and nature features, the recently expanded Brownie Neighborhood Park, and the new Georgian Acres Neighborhood Park.
- Adopt-a-Creek (Keep Austin Beautiful). In addition to our segment of Little Walnut Creek, several small, unnamed channels are available for adoption.
- Adopt-a-Stop (Cap Metro) or Adopt-a-Street (Keep Austin Beautiful). North Lamar and Rundberg each average around 30,000 vehicles per day through our neighborhood – pretty good exposure for your business or organization.
You can also support the neighborhood’s ongoing work with a monetary donation. The volunteer neighborhood team does not charge dues, but we do have small routine expenses for our operations. Donate online, contact the Chair for fund transfer instructions, or mail checks to:
