Every three years, the city asks the neighborhood team to identify top priority recommendations from our neighborhood plan for their capital and operating spending.

Our top recommendations for city spending (from the neighborhood plan, based on issue priorities)

Capital budget, Georgian Acres (south of Rundberg)

  1. Rec 130 Encourage developers to take advantage of the incentives to provide affordable housing in new mixed use developments.
  2. Rec 128 buffers between traffic and new sidewalks along N Lamar Blvd
  3. Rec 70.O sidewalks along Middle Ln
  4. Rec 73 bike lanes on Rundberg
  5. Rec 78 benches and/or shelters at Capital Metro bus stops

Capital budget, North Lamar (north of Rundberg)

  1. Rec 127 All new N Lamar Blvd development must be pedestrian-friendly and oriented towards the street with parking located to the rear of the building(s).
  2. Rec 87 reduce the number of curb cuts along N Lamar Blvd
  3. Rec 75 ADA-compliant ramps at all intersections with sidewalks
  4. Rec 47E pavilion at expanded Brownie park
  5. Rec 110F curbs and gutters along Provines

Operating budget, Georgian Acres (south of Rundberg)
