March 1, 2016 primary election results

Voter turnout for our precincts:

  • Pct 139 (183 to the creek) – 27.6% (Dem 21.3%, Rep 6.3%)
  • Pct 164 (creek to Applegate) – 20.8% (Dem 16.4%, Rep 4.4%)
  • Pct 211 (Applegate to Braker) – 34.4% (Dem 24.4%, Rep 10.0%)

This election was for the Democratic and Republican party primary for president and other national, state, and local offices. For many local offices, the incumbent was running unopposed in their party primary. There were several wide-open local races in the Democratic primary:

  • Travis County Commission Precinct 1 (for folks south of Applegate) will have a runoff May 24 between Arthur Sampson and Jeff Travillion
  • Travis County Constable Precinct 1 (for folks south of Applegate) will have a runoff May 24 between Janie Serna and Danny Thomas
  • Travis County Sheriff Sally Hernandez
  • Travis County District Attorney Margaret Moore
