  • Number of students: 22 to 26 two days a week.
  • One staff baby for the youth to learn about babysitting.
  • Five to six girls learned to sew and made pillowcase dresses.
  • Several students learned to bake.
  • Twelve students read eight books each and received a free book.
  • Youth learned about recycling/conservation; zoology/animals; bugs/insects; forces of nature/weather; oceans; space/solar systems; and dinosaurs.
  • Daily prize drawings using the meal tags to make sure they ate their lunch.

Thanks to St Mark staff and volunteers, UMC Austin District for grant funding, Capital Area Food Bank, Barnes & Noble, and all our awesome children and youth.
