City of Austin real estate:
parks & recs; 2 properties not going to sell – hoping to get a bigger property (Julia)
IDEA closed on the property behind Showplace Lanes. (Julia)

Restore Rundberg:
4 committees – public meetings; one committee working on revitalization of vacant land where there’s crime; another working on code compliance for repeat offenders; another committee working on a list of after school programs; finally a committee on health trying to figure out a survey of healthcare needs and services

Lisa H did an open records request received a bunch of pages and will share upon request

UT trying to get someone to compile resource list – fuzzy on purpose. Hired a grad student to do it. Not sure who will be the target audience. Julia can put you in touch with the grad student researcher.
APD foot patrols in the neighborhood as of last week. They are targeting high density crime spots. Irregular schedule. Funded by RR. Areas include Sam Rayburn; Powell; Rundberg/I35; aanother off 183 and Payton Gin
There is a community organizer position affiliated with RR; reports to police (Job description here: https://www.austincityjobs.org/postings/42754)
Georgian Acres Neighborhood Association meeting: Saturday, April 26, 11am-1pm at Gethsemane Lutheran Church (music room located through double doors on 183 facing entrance), 200 West Anderson, Austin; Contact Rigel for details: rigel@austincommonplace.com
CodeNext Exercise – opportunity with maps, markers and dots to express opportunities and restrictions of our neighborhood in relation to building code.
Amanda Lewis willing to host a CodeNext group exercise; April 21 is the deadline; Contact Amanda for more details atamandamichelle33@gmail.com.
Brownie Park addition along Longspur
Rundberg Clean Sweep happened April 12. It was sponsored by Keep Austin Beautiful, which does it once a year. Had about 23 volunteers show up. Pics here: https://www.facebook.com/events/1422298921346250/

Guest speakers invited by Monica Guzman shared experiences with IDEA in East Austin. Their website is http://prideoftheeastside.org/ Then group discussed opportunities to have an impact on IDEA within the neighborhood, including outreach to parents and land use issues. IDEA says they are opening next fall.
Group discussed creation of two subcommittees formed around land use and education.
NLCT Vice President Nick Haigh is resigning. We’ll be looking for nominations. Contact the Chair if you’re interested at chair.nlct@yahoo.com.
Bylaws – proposed revision of requirements for voting (must do a reading at one meeting, and vote at next) – Miranda will email revision idea to people who expressed deep concerns about bylaw revision. Daniela and Miranda resigning from Secretary (elected) and Membership Secretary (appointed) roles.
City Council Elections – District 4; Amanda plans on doing precinct walking; group discussed possibility of hosting an event around issues; what type of announcements are people interested in receiving about District 4 candidates – should candidates’ info be publicized on NLCT websites/Facebook? No guidelines in place.
