Part of the city’s Land Development Code rewrite process is studying the existing “neighborhood character” of the entire city. Georgian Acres happens to be one of the neighborhoods the consultant team chose as a draft demonstration.
Neighborhood Plan Objectives:
L.10: Establish a mixed use district at the southern end of Georgian Acres.
L.8: Preserve the largely commercial environment along the I-35 Corridor.
L.5: Increase the housing options and/or homeownership opportunities within North Lamar/Georgian Acres.
L.3: Establish North Lamar Boulevard as a mixed use, pedestrian-friendly corridor.
L.2: Maintain a balanced residential character throughout North Lamar/Georgian Acres.
L.1: Preserve the residential character of the neighborhoods in North Lamar/Georgian Acres.
