Crosswalks at Middle Ln and Wonsley Dr

Neighborhood Plan Objective T.5: The streets within the NLCNPA should be safer for pedestrians, bicyclists, and motorists.

There have been a number of pedestrian-vehicle collisions at the intersections of Middle Ln and Wonsley Dr with the interstate access road. The neighborhood recently requested crosswalks and stop bars to be added at these intersections, to help both pedestrians and motorists act more safely.

If you know of a location within our neighborhood that needs a crosswalk, submit a request by calling 311 or using the City website. Someone from the Transportation Department will look at the site, do any other necessary research, and contact you to talk about their recommendation, usually within a week. Signs and striping will usually be installed within a month or so.

Let us know your experience.

  1. Lyn Galbreth says:

NICE JOB LISA on getting the crosswalks going! No way to know how many fewer pedestrian/vehicle collisions will occur, but I feel sure your efforts will save some pedestrians from injury going forward. Thank you for all your hard work.
